Support & Expertise for Back Pain Across Wetherby & Online

Living with back pain can be utterly debilitating, but it doesn’t need to be this way forever.

Understanding your everyday movement patterns, getting clear on how or where your body might be compensating when you move, and mobilising restrictions in your body can all support your spine to work in a healthy, balanced way.

Once the spine moves with more ease, you can build strength in a sustainable way to provide a solid foundation for all movement.

A spine that moves with ease is the foundation for a whole body that is supported and strong.

How Sessions Work

Before the appointment I will ask you to complete an intake form. This will outline what you’d like to get out of the session, and any health history that I need to be aware of. If you’ve been referred by your physiotherapist, osteopath or chiropractor, I will also find out what has come up during their treatment.

I may also ask you to send me a short video of you walking, so I can see how your spine responds to movement. This will help to ensure we can make the best use if our time when I see you.

During the appointment, I will assess how your spine and pelvis move, noticing where there are restrictions or imbalances. We will then work through a series of accessible movements designed to improve mobility, build strength and rebalance the system.

Questions you might have about our your appointment.

  • As we will be moving, it’s important that you are wearing something comfortable that doesn’t restrict your movement. A t-shirt and leggings or shorts are ideal. The appointment will be carried out in bare feet, so you don’t need to worry about having the right footwear.

  • The appointment is definitely not a bootcamp session, and all exercises will be totally accessible and tailored to your body. As you learn to move in a more balanced and easeful way, you may feel drawn to becoming more active in your day to day life.

  • Yes. Babes in arms are more than welcome. I’ll be happy to help hold or comfort the little one as you move

  • No, all equipment you will need is provided. The only thing you might want to bring is a bottle of water.
